We are going to help a friend who is going to work as an FN solider for the next seven months, she owns one of Huberts beutiful sisters. Her namne is Humla and that means bumble bee for you non swedish guys out there. She is about four kilograms lighter than Hubert and a real little lady.
They cant get enough of eachother, they play, sleep and even eat from the same bowl.
It´s twice as much work as with one puppy, but also twice the fun.
We went to the obidience class the other day and both of them tried their best , but it seems like we have some training to do this week!
Tomorrow we will go to visit Humlas home and her stepmom
the live on a farm , we are all very exited. Don´t they look quite lovely.
It seems like Humla is the one in charge at least mentaly, Hubert has an advantage when the play the "boxer play" as we call it, he has got the biggest body and rams in to Humla who sometimes manage to outrun him. So from now on you will be reading about both of this little boxers here on huberts blogg. They are now 3,5 months old and growing so much that you almost can see it with your own eyes from day to day. Hubert seems very happy with this arangement, he gladly let her have all his favorite toys and let her sleep where ever she wants, Humla dosen´t mind so much either. We both have our hands full with our studies, and the rest of the time we spend with Hubert and his sister. It is going to be a very interesting autum.

Time flys nowdays! Hubert the bubert is now exactly 13v old and he is growing with an amazing speed, he still sleeps alot. We have been to the Vet and he has recived his puppy shot and his first rabies shot. He didn´t seem to mind to much, maybe because the Vet was one of his sisters stepmom...
Hubert now weigh 13kg!! absolutly rediculous. We have stoped carry him as you might imagine.
His paws are enormus. We went to a siblings gettogether the other weekend. He was the biggest one of them all, so we are getting a handfull. He is very good beeing left on his own, and nowdays he tells us when he needs to go out and do his buisness, if we are to busy ourselves to notice.
Training him is easy, but he is stubborn like a donky but so are we. Next week it is of to obidience class with four of his sisters. He has got his own pillow that he carrys around for sleeping , fighting and just to cuddle with . His ears are pointing in all kinds of directions and we do have a debate if we should tape them or not. People from all kind of places come up and ask what he is? Is he a Doggo Argentino, a Pitbull or what? This is my strongest argumet for taping his ears so he will not be confused with oter breeds. Every puppy, dosent matter what breed ,looks crazy when they are growing. One day the hind legs are longer then the front etc. We love Hubert an he is still the cool little guy we met a while back. What he likes besides sleeping is pulling a rag , carring things and use his nose. We are planning on doing a tracking course with him after the obidience classes.
The brown spot on his head is getting bigger and bigger to, although he will remain a white boxer.
He loves when we whistle and wisper to him so no problems with his hearing at all. Hubert is very fond of children and other people, we try to teach him to sit down and "ask" before he is allowed to say hello. This is something we struggle with everyday , because of the amount of children that lives in our street. Hubert recently found out that he is big enough to try to chase birds as big as Canadian goose. Although he is not allowed to!! Water is exiting and cows are scary, hores and sheep are a diffrent matter altogether. He is very good at keeping himself busy with his toys, but loves to sit in our lap if we are on the floor with him. When he crawls up in our lap, ( mine is getting to small for him) he falls in a deep sleep that we call "Hubert coma" and he snoors like an elephant.

It has been a very busy week, and we are all very glad that Hubert is here and seems to like it alot. Yesterday, his white brother Härje aka Dino came over for a couple of days.
His new home is in Norway, and the girl who is going to be his new "mom" will come and pick him up this saturday.

This guys love to hang out and do what puppies do most of the time at this age; fighting, sniffing and fithing some more. Härje / Dino is the biggest one , but he does not call the shots at all!Maybe this is because it is Huberts home and Härje/Dino is just visiting. It is so fun to see them interact with eachother you dont even need a TV, time flies. They still sleep alot, becuse they are growing like mad. We still run in and out , we also like to stay outside with them and just let them explore the surroundings, and sleep outside that is something that at least Hubert loves to do,( when the sun is shining and the wind have a nice cool breeze.) This upcoming weekend Hubert and I ( Helen) is going out on a big adventure; we are going to take the train to my parents and youngerbroter and vistit them for a couple of days. This is because Hubert needs to be socialized as well as he needs to see diffrent places like the city and so forth. I have had a coulpe of other dogs in my life and this is one of the most important things you can teach a puppy. As well as obidience trainig and meeing diffrent kinds of dogs.

This guys love to be togehter so much that it is allmost sad that Härje/Dino is going as far away as Norway. The oddest thing is that we thought that we had got the most friendly and calm puppy of the hole bunch, but now it is Hubert who is the "monster" and dont alow his brother any kind of peace. When I´m writing this they are both finally asleep after two hours of total rampage outside. The pictures are from the few calm moments of this little adventure. Just to clarify; Hubert is the one with the brown patch on his head, when they sleep and you cant see the brown spot on Hubert, even I have a hard time to tell them apart. We are also planning a trip in two weeks time to visit some more relatives and go out to an island and maybe if the weather is ok, take Hubert out on a little sailing trip. We went up to a lake the other day and he did not seem afraid of the water, didn´t jump right in, but at least he were chasing the waves;-) that is something that we will post later on here at Huberts own blogg stay tuned

And we are three! The waiting is over now, and the little guy is making himself at home. As a one time offer, we are in the picture. No more of that.

The transition was fast, after signing some papers we grabbed Hubert and ran for it. Well, actually we were driven home by the breeders. Hubert was rather disoriented at first, but soon found himself right at home by making a puddle in the kitchen. To keep this from happening to often, we run outside with him at the first sign. This isnt so very hard as the thinking goes: Hubert has slept/eaten/been playing/hasnt gone for a while and probably needs to go NOW. In other words, we get our excercise.

Puppies do sleep and eat a lot, and its mostly in the morning that hubert is active. We havent gotten this on camera yet, since we're not very inclined toward taking photos at five thirty. We thought we would give Hubert the chance to play and run all he liked, out on the grass. And this is how that went.

All is well in Hubertland.

Waitig for Hubert to arrive is almost like beeing in love (as a wise person told me the other day) you cant sleep, you cant eat ( some of us can ;-) or think about anything else, the hours passes by in ultra slowmotion, friday the fourth of august is like 2020 for us.
Maybe he has grown so much in a weeks time since we saw him that we wont recognise him, or he us!! That is a even scarier thought.
The skys have been poring down rain today an it feels great, finally after all this tremendous heat
We are finished with our preparation for monsieur Hubert now, we got his bed , toys leads and collar. And Hubert is a very cool guy soo who in there right mind could resist this little fellow? It´s good that he´s not going to be a show dog, I dont think he likes to pose, or what do you think?

I have been looking for a nice lead an collar for our puppy and I finally think I found something. I am a big fan of Burberry , and so it happens Burberry of London, does canine products like leads, collars , dogbeds and bowls . This made me happy I want him ( this is girlish i know!!) to mach me and my favorite handbags.

Six days and counting, 'til H-day.

And he's growing and growing. We though boxers were sort of small. Well, medium sized at least. At the currend rate, Hubert will be an elephant by christmas, the ears do point in that direction. But something is missing...

The heat here on the plains of Östergötland is almost like the Serengeti by now, the grass is no longer green. And the puppies are mostly sleeping. Huberts brother Härje fell asleep in the water bowl and nearly drowned himself repeatedly.

We are making preparations for the arrival, looking at what rooms to cut off to make the apartment manageable. The living room will be off limits at first, we've decided.

Is this just a sign of curiosity and independence, or does he recognise us?
He is still the same little guy now as he was first time we met him, likes to do his own thing and is a bit calmer then the rest of the pack.
Mostly he enjoys fighting and sleeping next to his white broter, we have spent guite some time out there with the pups now and I ( his fostermom) thinks he recognises me...
Today the puppies are 7 weeks old and in Sweden you have to wait until the puppies are 8 weeks before you can take them from their mother. This is all according to the Swedish Kennelclub regulations.

Well thats all for now as you can se he has fallen asleep in the red foodbin again.

Hubert trying to eat a toe. It looks comfy. We noticed at once that Hubert sems to like the company of his white brother. They are mostly in the same spot, although not allways being very nice to eachother. Biting and boxing. Hubert sems to be a cool little guy. He doesn't run with the pack all the time, but sems to be all right on his own, or with his mother. Hubert loves his mother, or her food at least. taking pictures of feeding time was a little hard, as there is a lot of fighting going on at the same time as everyone scrambles to get the most food.

And so, thers not a whole lot happening except for eating, fighting and playing. And of course lots of sleeping. After a while we took all the puppies inside, and tried to get some quality time with Hubert. At first he seemed to be to tired to respond to anything, and then very single minded. Trying to eat the refrigerator, trying to eat the big interesting toe sticking out of a sandal, getting his ass kicked by his brothers and sisters without much resistance. But then he seemed to wake up and took an active interest in us. Mostly by biting some more and growling. Heres a picture of him suckling his fostermoms finger. Well, more biting than suckling, really. There is a genuine look of interest there, dont you think?

This isnt really Hubert speaking. We, his owners, will be doing all the talking for him. We are open for change later, maybe one day Hubert will master the art of online communication and we promise to let him take over completely when that happens. But enough about us.

Hubert is a five week old boxer pup; and so, as it should be, he is living with his mom and siblings. Tonight we are going to visit them all, for the first time while knowing that Hubert is coming to live with us in just a few weeks. Here is a photo of Hubert from last week.

As you can see, Hubert is an adorable and white boxer. By chance we found a kennel here (Linköping, Sweden) that does not kill white boxer pups at birth. Very nice people. We are confident that Hubert thinks so too. About a quarter of all boxers are born white and Hubert has a white brother, a striped brother, two yellow and two striped sisters.
